Fall Creek Falls (Douglas County)

I LOVE THIS TRAIL.

The trail begins by squeezing through a narrow crevice. After that, there are multiple creek access points, intriguing trees, beautiful flowers… Every twist of the path reveals more delight.

Fall Creek Falls itself was not overly remarkable in June, but its multiple tiers are tall enough to still make a favorable impression even with a low water level.

The trail continues up to a view of the second tier, and then continues even farther to a view of the 10 foot upper tier.

We took the spur trail to check out “Job’s Garden,” which is described as a unique geological rock formation. My advice: skip this. It might be unusual, but it’s not much to look at. Plus, there were a lot of mosquitoes in this area. (Which is not true of the waterfall trail, thank goodness!)
